An Influential Start

Looking back, I can now see four formative experiences that quietly laid the foundation for how I understand health—not as a fixed state of wellness, but as a lifelong, unfolding process of becoming whole.

It started with my first job. As a junior researcher and group facilitator, I was invited to work on a pioneering project exploring the future of healthcare for a large retailer and manufacturer. Holistic health featured strongly in our early findings, even if it barely appeared in the final strategy document. Still, the conversations we had (what it might mean to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms) left a lasting imprint. This was the seed of something. The beginning of seeing the bigger picture, the whole picture.
