Curing

A dear friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer. It came as a shock, followed by a long, silent wait. A hospital appointment was scheduled for the following week to assess the severity.

During those seven days, she withdrew from the world, but what looked like retreat was something else entirely—an intense period of personal focus. She practiced guided visualisation every day, imagining her white blood cells on high alert, actively surrounding and dissolving the cancer.

When the scan finally came, the doctors found no tumour. Just clusters of white cells, where the cancer had been.

It was astonishing.
